From the Telegraph & Times of 10 Dec 2021: HOGG Sir Christopher died after a short illness on 7th December 2021 aged 85. Much loved husband of Miriam and father of Catherine and Cressida. Funeral private. Memorial service to be announced in the new year.

He was f of Cressida Mary b 1969 reg Q3 London (by his 1st w Anne Patricia CATHIE) who m 1995 Hon Henry LEGGE QC b 1968 s of 9th Earl of DARTMOUTH 1924-77 and (as the first of 3 h) his former w Raine McCORQUODALE 1929-2016 scion of that gentry family of Cound Hall sometime Countess Spencer and step-mother of DIANA Princess of WALES, and had three daus.

An online edition of Burke's from 2002-7 says that his first wife's name was "Carthie", but I don't know whether that is correct. His widow, Miriam, was formerly wife of Sir Tom Stoppard, the playwright, and is herself an author and television presenter.

Intimidating but civilised captain of industry who hired as well as he fired
...Christopher Anthony Hogg was born in East Sheen, southwest London, in 1936, the second of four children of Anthony Hogg, who ran the theatrical publishing house Samuel French, and his wife Monica (née Gladwell)...
...In his final year at Oxford he met Anne Cathie [spelling also used in his Who's Who entry] a flatmate’s friend. They were married in 1961 and she became an academic. The marriage was dissolved and in 1997 he married Miriam Stoppard (née Stern), the television agony aunt and former wife of the playwright Sir Tom Stoppard. “In some ways I grudge all the time I spend apart from her,” he told The Sunday Times. “We have a wonderful time together.” She survives him with two daughters from his first marriage, Catherine, who leads a private life, and Cressida, who is chairwoman of the property company Landsec....
Sir Christopher Hogg, industrialist, was born on August 2, 1936. He died from complications of surgery on December 7, 2021, aged 85
