From the Telegraph of 14 July 2022: STRAKER James Andrew John, aged 62 years. Peacefully and gently at Hexham General Hospital on Thursday 7th July 2022, surrounded by love, family and wonderful hospital staff. James, adored husband of Rodrica, father of Jack, Izzy, Bea and Crispin. Service of Thanksgiving for all to celebrate James’ life in Hexham Abbey on Friday 22nd July at 3 p.m. Family flowers only, but donations gratefully received to Macmillan Cancer Support or Pancreatic Cancer UK.

He was s of Clive Bagray STRAKER 1926-80 scion of that gentry family of Stagshaw and Pamela Juliet 1931-2019 d of Capt Addison Joe BAKER-CRESSWELL 1901-97 sometime head of that gentry family f/o Creswell and Rona Eileen VAILE 1907-97 of Auckland, NZ. He m 1988 Rodrica Consuelo b 1963 d of John Raleigh CHICHESTER-CONSTABLE 1927-2011 sometime head of that gentry family of Burton Constable and Laurel Gay SAWBRIDGE 1935-89, and had two sons and two daus as above.
