The engagement was announced 16 September, 2014, between Alexander Hugh Frere-Scott of Gala, Yr of Gala (b 8 Dec, 1982), son and heir of John Philip Henry Schomberg Scott, 13th of Gala (born 20 June, 1952), of Selkirkshire, Scotland, descended from the Marquesses of Lothian, by his wife the former Jacqueline Dawn Rae, & Lucinda J. Davies, daughter of Mr Lionel Davies and Mrs Sally Brumley, both of Leura, New South Wales, Australia.
