She was d of 13th Earl of NORTHESK 1926-94 and his 1st wife Jean Margaret MacRAE 1927-89 scion of the Scots gentry family of that name of Ballimore, and of the BRISTOL marquesses and RUTLAND dukes, etc. She m 1977 4th Baron FISHER b 1953, and had three sons and four daughters.
