From the Telegraph and Times of 18 May 2018: Mr M.H.S. Ropner and Miss C.M. Oates - The engagement is announced between Maxim, son of Mr and Mrs Robert Ropner, of Kirklington, North Yorkshire, and Catherine, daughter of Mr and Mrs Michael Oates, of Great Saxham, Suffolk.
Maxim Henry S (b 1990 reg Q3 North Yorkshire) s of Robert James Bruce ROPNER (b 1962), scion of the Bts of that name cr 1904, and his wife and 3rd cousin Johanna Louise (b 1963) d of Colin Strathearn Ropner STROYAN (b 1927 reg Q2 Surrey), scion of the Scots gentry family of that name of Lanrick and of the ROPNER Bts cr 1904, and Caroline Jane BROWNLOW (b 1938), scion of the Irish gentry family of that name and of the LURGAN barons, ABERCORN dukes, MEATH earls etc etc.
Catherine Margaret (b c1990 reg Q1 Suffolk) d of Michael A OATES by his 1984 m (reg Q4 Wiltshire) to Hilary A SLATER (b c1963 reg Q1 London).
