From the Times 4 August 2011:
HOWELL Bridgit Mary Radclyffe (née Luard), died peacefully on 31st
July 2011, in her 89th year. Beloved wife of the late Paul Philip,
mother of Rosalind, Clare, Philip and James, and much loved
grandmother of Calandra, Alexa, Thomas, Alexander, Pippa, Laura and
Sabrina. Funeral at St Andrew's Church, Ampthill, Beds. Tuesday 9th
August at 2pm. Family flowers only. Memorial Service in Cley-next-to-
Sea, Norfolk, to be announced.
She ws the dau of Geoffrey Dundas LUARD (1879-1956) scion of that
gentry family formerly of Blyborough, and his 1st w Dorothea Cecil
Radclyfe (c1890-1930, dau of Caledon Josias Radclyffe DOLLING, of that
Irish gentry family of Edenmore Magheralin, Co Down). She m 1949 Paul
Philip CMG OBE (1917-94), son of Brig-Gen Philip HOWELL CMG (1877-ka
1916) and Rosalind Upcher BUXTON (1879-1968, scion of the BUXTON Bts).
