From the Times of 20 May 2016: MR J B T BARLEY AND MISS M R G SMITH  The engagement is announced between Joshua, younger son of Mr Michael Barley and his wife Richenda Buxton of Walnut Tree Cottage, Heydon Cambridgeshire, and Maude, daughter of Mr and Mrs Humphrey Smith of Oxton Hall, Tadcaster, Yorkshire.

Joshua Bernard Tennyson (b 1990) s of Michael Desmond Tennyson BARLEY and Richenda Mary BUXTON (b 1953, her parents were 3rd cousins through their mutual descent from Sir Thomas Fowell Buxton 1st Bt (1786-1845)), scion of the Bts of that name cr 1840.

Maude Rosamond G (b  1986 reg Q2 York) d of Humphrey Richard Woollcombe SMITH of Oxton Hall, Tadcaster, Yorkshire and Julia Carlotta (b 1956) d of John GLADSTONE (1908-77), scion of the Scots gentry family of that name of Capenoch and of the SHREWSBURY & WATERFORD earls, and his 2nd w Diana Rosamund Maud FLEMING-HAMILTON.
