Dr Isabella Stopford, fiancee of John Lang since 8 July 2021, was married on 8 September 2022 in Corfu. Her father Brigadier James Stopford (b 1961), among those formally notified of the Queen's death and recalled to ceremonial duties, gave a toast to Her Late Majesty and the new monarch Charles III.

Brigadier James Stopford is a grandson of the 7th Earl of Courtown. He is the third and yst son of Capt Hon Terence Stopford.RN retd 1969 (1918-1998)

John Lang, son of the late David Lang, is stepson of Sir (Alexander) Lockwood Smith, a former Minister in New Zealand. Sir Lockwood Smith married his widowed mother Alexandra Lang in 2009. She was his university sweetheart in the early 1970s and his longtime partner.



There is no official notice of the wedding, just that mention in the news article.
