From the Times of 26 April 2023: HONE Jacqueline Mary (née Yeend) died peacefully on 15th April 2023, aged 86. Wife of the late writer Joseph Hone and mother to Lucy and William. Private service.

She was d of J M YEEND of Cheltenham, Glos. She m 1964 Joseph Marlow HONE 1937-2016 sometime head of that Irish gentry family, and had a son William Alexander J[oseph] b 1971 who succ. his father as family head and Lucy C b 1964 who m 1995 David R s of George CROSS of Farnham, Surrey, and has issue: Harry Fitzwilliam CROSS b 1996 reg Q3 Oxon; Jack Nathaniel CROSS b 2003 reg Q2 Oxon; Cordelia Eve CROSS b 1998 reg Q4 Oxon.
