From the Times of 27 March 2025: CHEVALLIER GUILD Jennifer Isobel died peacefully at home in Aspall on 14th March, aged 82. Beloved wife, mother, sister, cherished cousin and grandmother. Private family funeral followed by a Service of Thanksgiving in Eye Church on Friday 10th October at 2.30pm.

She was d of Col Brian Sherlock GOOCH DSO TD 1904-68 (s of Sir Thomas Vere Sherlock GOOCH 10 Bt 1881-1946) and Monica Mary 1909-75 d of Nathaniel Arthur HEYWOOD 1867-1941 scion of that gentry family of Pentney House and Florence Amy 1875-1943 d of Maj-Gen Sir Stanley de Astel Calvert CLARKE GCVO CMG 1837-1911 scion of that Scots gentry family of Ahareidh and Mary Temple 1844-1913 d of Rt Hon Sir John ROSE 1st Bt 1820-88 by his 1843 m to his 1st w (her 2nd h, wid of Maj Robert Sweeney 1815-40) Charlotte TEMPLE 1813-83 of Rutland County, Vermont, USA. She m 1965 Lt-Cmdr John Marjoribanks 1933-2020 s of Cyril Harrower GUILD 1906-78 scion of that Scots gentry family f/o Balquharn and Perronelle Mary CHEVALLIER 1902-2004 whom he succ as head of that gentry family (GUILD (formerly Chevallier) of Aspall Hall), and had two sons.
