He was s of Brig-Gen Charles Wake NORMAN CBE 1891-1974 (who he succ as) head of that gentry family of Bromley Common (and s of Mildred Emily WAKE 1866-1940 gd of Sir Charles WAKE 10th Bt 1791-1864) and Nora 1902-90 d of Lt-Col William BEADON 1867-1916 (s of Maj-Gen Edward Musgrave BEADON 1833-1910, who was s of William BEADON 1803-64, who was s of William BEADON d 1855 sometime head of that gentry family of Gotton House) by his 23 Jan 1902 m (St Michael’s, Frimley) to Joanna Elizabeth BALLARD 1870-1958. He m 1952 Beryl 1926- d of John George Embleton WELCH and Elizabeth COWAN (who were also parents of the LP Baroness PERRY OF SOUTHWARK b 1931), and had three sons and [four] daus:
