Lord Wolfson of Sunningdale obituary
Downing Street’s first chief of staff who was at Thatcher’s side after the Brighton bombing and later became chairman of Next
...David Wolfson was born in Willesden, northwest London, in 1935, the son of Charles Wolfson, a director of the family business who died in 1970 on board the Queen Elizabeth 2, and his wife, Hylda (née Jarvis). ...In 1962 he married Patricia Rawlings, a former debutante who is now Baroness Rawlings. The marriage was described in The Times as “an utter failure because after six weeks Mr Wolfson filed a petition for restitution of conjugal rights”. They were divorced in December 1966 and the following year he married Susan Davis... He is survived by their three children: Simon (Lord Wolfson of Aspley Guise), whose appointment as chief executive of Next at the age of 33 led to cries in the press of nepotism; Andrew, a businessman, and Deborah, who cares for her family. That marriage was also dissolved and in 2018 he married Alicia [Anne] Trevor, who survives him with their teenage son, Tom.
...After serving as Thatcher’s chief of staff he became a life peer in 1991.
Lord Wolfson of Sunningdale, retailer, was born on November 9, 1935. He died of complications from dementia on March 10, 2021, aged 85

He lost his membership of the Lords because he has been absent for a session without being on leave of absence. The time before he hasn't attended often. Was he already suffering from dementia then?
