A minor correction: Arthur Thomas HODGSON married Vera Marguerite BACON on 5 December 1906 at the parish church of Marchington Woodlands, co. Stafford (The Times, 7 Dec. 1906, Issue 38197, p. 1).

Per the same source, he was the son of George Arthur HODGSON, of Smallwood Manor, co. Stafford.  I note that the mother of A.T.H. was apparently a descendant twice over, through the GWYNNE family, of the 1st Baron CHEDWORTH (d. 1742).  The maternal grandmother of A.T.H. was apparently Jane Eliza Anna Maria HOLFORD, for whose descent from the 1st Baron CHEDWORTH see Ruvigny, Plantagenet Roll of the Blood Royal, Mortimer–Percy volume (London, 1911), p. 436.
