From the Telegraph of 25 April 2026: GORE Major Toby Clements passed away peacefully on 15th April 2026, aged 98. Beloved husband of the late Marian Gore, brother to Belinda and the late Dinah Besly and loving father of Fiona, Juliet, Stephanie and the late Tessa Gore. He is survived by his loving partner Jillie. Relatives and friends are welcome to attend Toby's Funeral and Celebration of Life Service at All Saints Church, Binfield on Thursday 4th June at 2 p.m. and afterwards for refreshments. Donations to The Rifles Benevolent Trust or flowers to Miles & Daughters Funeral Directors.

He was s of Brig Adrian Clements GORE DSO 1900-90 (4xgt gs of Sir William GORE 3 Bt d c1703/05, as well gt gs 3 Earl of CLONMELL 1817-66, 3xgt gs 2 Earl of WARWICK & [2] Earl BROOKE 1746-1816, gt gs of 2 Baron DOWNES OF AGHANVILLE 1788-1864, etc etc) and Enid Aimee 1902-97 d of John Jameson CAIRNES 1860-1951 of that Irish gentry family and Amabel WINSLOW 1859-1922 (an American). He m 1959 (Isolde) Marian 1936-96 d of Edward H MACINTOSH of Kirkhill, Inverness, and had four daus (incl Tessa Jane 1967-94) as above.
