From the Telegraph and Times of 2 November 2019: TAPPS GERVIS MEYRICK George Christopher Cadafael died on 24th October 2019 peacefully in his sleep after a long illness. Much loved husband, father, and grandfather. A service of Thanksgiving will be held at Christchurch Priory, Dorset on November 14th at 3pm. No flowers please but donations if desired to Dementia UK.

He was s of Sir George David Eliott TAPPS GERVIS MEYRICK 6th Bt (1915-88) and Ann Elizabeth (1919-2007) d of Edward Clive MILLER of Melbourne, Australia. He m 1968 Jean Louise (b 1943) d of Lt-Col Lord William Walter MONTAGU DOUGLAS SCOTT MC (1896-1958, s of 7th Duke of BUCCLEUCH and brother of Princess ALICE Duchess of GLOUCESTER) and Lady Rachel DOUGLAS-HOME (1910-96 d of 13th Earl of HOME and sister of the British Prime Minister Alec DOUGLAS-HOME, sometime 14th Earl of HOME), and had 2 sons and a dau. His elder son succeeds him:

[Sir] George William Owen TAPPS GERVIS MEYRICK [8th Bt] (b 1970). Has yet to establish his claim and appear on the Roll of the Baronetage. He m 2006 Candida CLARK d of Alan SHARPE and Cassandra _, and had issue:
