Will her Ladyship retain "Bruce" as the family name rather than her married name of "Winkler?"

Thanks.

Seems Bruce-Winkler.. The original family holding this title were Balfour until a descendant (Bruce) reclaimed the title in the 19th century due to an earlier title holder (Bruce) was charged for murder, escaped and became a Jacobite.. Dying without an estate and title late 18th century.

Would Laetitia not be heir presumptive on the grounds that a younger brother would displace her?

That's correct John, she could be displaced by a brother. Interesting that in P.M's questions yesterday, Penny Mourdant asked a question about changing primogeniture. Johnson laughed it off by saying that he was an elder son who had nothing to gain from the fact. Also there was another Tory MP who jokingly said that he supported the P.M's bid for the Tory leadership, on three points. One of them was the promise of being made a duke. Nice to see that the hereditary honours system's potential has not entirely been forgotten. Bercow for a Viscountcy?

Both The Times and The Herald say he died on 18 September 2019.
