Before beginning her studies at the University of Pennsylvania, in the United States, she, too, experienced corporate life, for two years from 2003, as a project manager for Hongkong Land."

Her father, a prominent landscape architect, now lives in London with his third wife Louisa, a granddaughter maternally of the Marquess of Anglesey.  They married in 12006;  Louisa is Louisa Fox Pitt, former wife of Robin Fox Pit and mother of Martha Fox Pitt, a Life Peer)   Her grandfather was the composer Gardner Jencks, and her grandmother Ruth N (a second or third wife).  On the Keswick side, her father was the younger brother of Sir William Johnstone "Tony" Keswick (1903-1990), chairman of Jardine Matheson, whose three sons are Sir Henry Keswick (married to Hon. Ruth is Ruth DeWitt Pearl, whom Gardner Jencks married in 1935.

Gardner Jencks’ first wife was Elinor Stevens Melcher, whose great-grandfather was American hotelier Paran Stevens.

Elinor’s grandmother, daughter of Paran Stevens’ first wife, Eliza Jewett, was involved in litigation with his second wife (her step-great-grandmother), the redoubtable socialite “Mrs. Paran Stevens,” who began life as Marietta Reed.

Minnie Fiske Stevens, daughter of Paran Stevens and Marietta Reed, married Sir Arthur H. Paget, grandson of the 1st Marquess of Anglesey.
