2024: BLAND Godfrey Hamilton on 7th December 2024, aged 81. Much-loved husband
of the late Olga (née Hohler), father of Richard, Caroline and Alexander,

He was yr s of Capt James Franklin McMahon BLAND 1905-84 sometime head of that Irish gentry family co Kerry and Jess Buchan 1908-84 d of Maj Harry Campbell BRODIE MBE 1875-1968 by his 7 Sep 1901 m (Alexzndria, Egypt) to Pamela Elizabeth KIRKWELL 1876-1916. He m 1969 Olga Mary 1940-2019 d of Edward Christopher HOHLER 1917-97 scion of that gentry family of Long Crendon and (Mary Alice Olga Sofia) Jane 1919-2014 d of Robert Charlton LANE 1873-1943 and as her 2nd h Olga Mary Adelaide 1877-1928 d of Sir Adolphus Augustus Frederick FITZGEORGE 1846-1922 (gt gs of King GEORGE III) and his 1st w Sofia Jane HOLDEN 1856-1920.

J F McM Bland was son of Francis Christopher Cecil Bland (1875- ).
F C C Bland's great-grandmother, Mrs Lucinda Bland, née Herbert, was a maternal granddaughter of Maurice Fitzgerald, Knight of Kerry.
This was the family of Bland of Derriquin Castle, co Kerry. F C C Bland's father sold Derriquin Castle in 1891, and it was later burned down by the IRA in 1922.
