Much loved husband of Ginna and father of James, Oliver and Harry, and grandfather to Rory, Eliza, Grace, Eloise, Tom, Beatrice and Kit. Private cremation unless by request. He was s of Wing Cdr John Richard Hensman GAYNER DFC RAF 1918-87 and Pamela 1913-75 only d of Brig-Gen Stuart Peter ROLT CB 1862-1933 and Evelyn Roylance COURT b 5 Oct 1883 & d 1941 scion of that gentry family (now ROLT) of Middlewich and d of Mary Carlaw 1858-1933 (Mrs William Court) d of Sir Andrew Barclay WALKER 1st Bt 1824-93 (now WALKER-OKEOVER, f of 1^st & only Baron WAVERTREE 1856-1933). He m 1972 reg Q4 Hants Virginia (Ginna) Eilun Hamilton b Dec 1948 d of Cdr David Aubrey Hamilton BORTHWICK RN 1921-2010 by his 27 Oct 1943 m (Beaulieu Abbey) to Pamela (Bunny) 1921-2019 d of Maj Guy Thomas William WALKER c1874-1940 by his 1912 m reg Q4 Hants to Dorothy Lilian MITCHELL 1884-1961 of Bignalls, Beaulieu, and had three sons.

The late Mr Gayner's eldest son would appear to be Lt-Col James Richard Hamilton GAYNER, MBE, and his second son would appear to be Oliver Stuart Hensman GAYNER (per company records, born in August 1977, and whose usual country of residence is shown on those records as Australia).
