LANGLANDS PEARSE
Robert Ian, Commander Royal Navy on 6th May 2010, dear husband of
Jennifer, father of Simon, Adam, Dominic, Charles, Marcus and
Alexander, grandfather of George, Joanna, Rupert, Ned, Kate, Ottilie,
Nell, Willow and The Bump. The Funeral Service takes place at.— St
Peter's Church, Cowfold on Wednesday 19th May at 3 p.m. No flowers
please but donations, if desired, may be made to R.N.L.I. or The
British Legion c/o Freeman Brothers, Horsham. Tel: 01403 254590.

He was the son of George LANGLANDS and Mrs Hugh PEARSE of Clive Place,
Esher, Surrey. He m 1st 1949 (div 1965) Margaretta Jane WRIGHT
(1928-84, scion of the Barons Fitzwalter) and had three sons, all of
whom, with their issue male and female, are in line to the English
barony of Fitzwalter (E 1295). Their 2nd son m 2nd 1990 the dau of Sir
William Gordon-Cumming 6th Bt and has issue. Cdr Langlands Pearse m
2nd 1965 Jennifer Prudence Brocas (dau of Lt-Gen Montagu Brocas
BURROWS CB DSO MC (1894-1967) of Oakendene, Cowfold, Sussex and Molly
LE BAS) and had three further sons by her. All mentioned in the above
notice. His widow's brother, Anthony Richard Brocas, married a scion
of the Sheffield Bts.
