The engagement was announced 9 Oct 2008, between 2nd Lieutenant David
Guy Parsons (b 1985), The Black Watch, Royal Regiment of Scotland,
scion of the Earls of Rosse (Earl, Peerage of Ireland 1806), younger
son of Sir John Christopher Parsons (b 1946), of Eydon,
Northamptonshire, by his wife the former Hon Anne Constance Manningham-
Buller (b 1951), dau of the 1st Viscount Dilhorne, and Georgina M.
Medwell-Bates, daughter of John Bates, of Market Deeping,
Lincolnshire, and Mrs Vernon King, of Edenbridge, Kent.

of the Hon. Anne and therefore the aunt of the groom to be.
