From the Telegraph & Times of 4 Jan 2023: BARLOW Sir John Kemp died peacefully on 30th December 2022, aged 88, after a short illness. Much loved father of William, David, Michael and Charlie. Grandfather to thirteen grandchildren. Private family funeral. Memorial service to be announced at a later date.

He was s of Sir John Denman BARLOW 2nd Bt  (2xgt gs of 1st Baron DENMAN 1779-1954) & Hon Diana Helen KEMP 1904-86 d of 1st Baron ROCHDALE 1866-1945 and Lady Beatrice Mary EGERTON 1871-1966 d of 3rd Earl of ELLESMERE 1847-1914 (gf of 6th Duke of SUTHERLAND 1915-2000) and Lady Katherine Louisa PHIPPS 1850-1926 d of 2nd Marquess of NORMANBY 1819-90 He m 1962 Susan 1936-2012 d of Col Sir Andrew Marshall HORSBRUGH-PORTER 3rd Bt and Annette Mary 1908-92 d of Brig-Gen Robert Clayton BROWNE-CLAYTON 1870-1939 sometime head of that Irish gentry family and Mary Magdalene WIENHOLT c1881-1932, and had four sons. The eldest succeeds him:
