Lady Hardman, who died 10 January, 2005, at the age of 98, was the
widow of Air Chief Marshal Sir (James) Donald Innes Hardman, GBE, KCB,
DFC (1899-1982).

She was Dorothy, daughter of William Ashcroft Thompson, JP, of
Larkenshaw, Chobham, Surrey,and married Donald Hardman in 1930.

Lady Hardman, whose home was in Winchester, was the mother of two sons,
Adrian and Blaise, and one daughter, Sara.

Her son, Blaise Noel Anthony Hardman (b. 24 Dec, 1939), married in
1967, Caroline, daughter of Sir Donald Cameron of Lochiel, KT, Chief of
the Clan Cameron; her daughter, Sara Virginia (Sally), married in 1956,
Sir (William) Jonathan Frederick North, 2nd Baronet.

Lady Hardman's granddaughter, Annabel (daughter of Blaise) married in
2002, Thomas Byng, descended from the Earls of Strafford; and another
granddaughter,
Daisy (also daughter of Blaise) also married in 2002, to Rollo McNally,
son of Paddy McNally, who dated Sarah Ferguson prior to her marriage to
HRH The Duke of York.

The funeral took place at St John's Church, Farley Chamberlayne, 21
January, 2005.
