"TANCRED-EVANS, Shirley Edith:
Peacefully, after a long illness, on Saturday 23 April, 2016, at Jean Sandel Retirement Village, New Plymouth, aged 89 years. Loved wife and soulmate of the late John. Dearly loved mum of Philip (deceased), Linda and John (Perth), Sue and Steve (Northland). Dearly loved nana of Daniel, Jemma, Talia, Alisha and Rachel. Loving great-nana of Connor, Lucinda, Eloise, Florence, Augustus and Arthur. Loving stepmum, Nan and great-nana to Sue and Alan, Stefan, McKenzie and Dean. Karen, Bas and Roxy, Alisa, Callum, Isla, Mia and Flynn. Messages to 'The Tancred-Evans Family', c/- P.O. Box 4016, New Plymouth 4340. In lieu of flowers, any donations to Hospice Taranaki would be appreciated, and left at the service. A celebration of Shirley's life will be held in the Chapel of W. Abraham, 366 Devon Street East, New Plymouth, on Thursday 28 April, at 2:00pm. Private cremation.

She was Shirley Edith Box, and her first husband was Rex Selby Assheton Tancred, of the Tancred [now Lawson-Tancred] Baronets.
