It appears the oldest Baronet on the Roll has died.

His reported date of death is 4 May 2021. Further confirmation would be helpful.

Sir Leslie was the only son of John Lynn MARR (1877 - 1931), eldest son of Sir James MARR, 1st Baronet CBE (1854 - 1932), and Amelia Rachel THOMPSON.

He m. 1st 1948 (div 1956) Dinora Delores MENDELSON. Is there issue? - thepeerage.com gives one dau, but not reported in DB 2008.  He m. 2nd 1962 (div 2000) Lynn WALKER-HENEAGE, and had issue: 2 daus. He m. 3rd 2002 Maureen Thelman DORMER.

He is succeeded by his kinsman (Sir) Allan James William MARR, (3rd Baronet), a 2xgt gs of the 1st Baronet, born 1965. He m. 1988 Dawn RIDLEY and has issue, a son L J A M. (born 1991)

If confirmed, I believe the eldest Baronet on the Roll is now Sir John CONANT, 2nd Baronet (born 1923). There are two Baronets born 1924. Of course, Sir Humphrey Moon, 7th Baronet (born 1919) is a presumed Baronet not on the Roll and if his succession were confirmed would be the eldest Baronet on the Roll.

Sir Leslie Lynn Marr was both the oldest and the longest serving baronet on the roll. He was also the third longest serving baronet ever after Sir John Prichard-Jones, 2nd baronet and Sir Peter Soame, 4th baronet. Now the longest serving baronet is Sir (Marmaduke) Adrian Francis William Blennerhassett, 7th Baronet who succeeded to the baronetcy on the same year of his birth in 1940.

Sir Leslie Lynn Marr was also the last living baronet who succeeded before the start of the second world war. During the second world war, a number of baronets and heirs apparent to baronetcies died during active service and as a result, there are currently eight living baronets who succeeded to the baronetcies at a very small age from the period of 1940 - 1944.

The Wikipedia page lists Sir Jeremy Norman Marr, 3rd Baronet (1940- ) as the next baronet. However you have mentioned  (Sir) Allan James William MARR, (3rd Baronet). Which of these is correct?

The third baronet has got to be (Sir) Allan James William MARR (provided that he was alive at the moment when the second baronet died) - he is the elder son of James Allan MARR (17 V 1939 - 27 III 2012), who was himself the only son of Allan James MARR (6 V 1907 - 20 IX 1989), the eldest son of William Bell MARR (4 X 1881 - 19 X 1971), the younger son of the first baronet. Jeremy Norman MARR (born 12 V 1940) is the only son of Norman Carse MARR (20 II 1910 - 15 VIII 1980), who was the second son of the aforementioned William Bell MARR.

Kershaw gives Allan J W M. as the heir, and Debrett's 2008 gave him in capital letters (their way of indicating ha / hp), so I am relatively confident in saying he is 3rd Baronet. Even if he has died unnoticed, Allan's son would be next in line not Jeremy.

I have verified that the 3rd Baronet is alive and well on Electoral Roll records, living at an address near Carlisle.  A correction to my original post - the 3rd Baronet has issue: 2 sons - Liam J A M. (born 1991) and R D M. (born 1995)

The reluctant Baronet's obit is in the Times of 31 May 2021.

The obit also mentions the adoption of his first wife's dau from a prev union (Juliet b 194_), and she's listed as such in Burke's Peerage & Baronetage 2003, but not mentioned in Drebrett's 2019.

Interestingly, the first mention of his marriages and daus in Debrett is in the 1976 edn (I have a complete run of DPB between 1970 and 2019, as well as some earlier edns between 1897 and 1965).
