Greatly loved by all his family, Serena his wife, his children Francesca, George and Theresa, and adored by his seven grandchildren. He was s of Maj John Howard NICKSON 1912-99 by his 1 Jan 1944 m reg Q1 Northants to Pamela Kay 1913-95 d of Timothy Herbert William CURTIS 1882-1966 (2xgt gs of Sir William CURTIS 1^st Bt 1752-1829) by his 11 Jan 1913 m (Slaugham, Sussex) to Edith Marjorie KAY 1887-1968. He m 1971 Serena Margaret b 1948 d of Lt-Col Sir Charles Arthur CHADWYCK-HEALEY 4^th Bt 1910-86 and Viola 1912-95 d of Cecil LUBBOCK 1872-1956 (gs of Sir John William LUBBOCK 2^nd Bt 1774-1840 who was f of 1^st Baron AVEBURY 1834-1913) and Edith 1874-1960 d of Ven Charles Wellington FURSE 1821-1900 sometime head of that gentry family of Halsdon and his 1^st w Jane Diana MONSELL 1838-77 (3xgt gd of William Thomas MONSELL 1754-[1796] who was gf of 1^st Baron EMLY 1812-94, ext 1932), and had a son and two daus as above.
