From the Times of 12 Oct 2021: WATSON Ann (née Forbes-Robertson) on 10th August 2021, aged 92, passed away peacefully at Ashridge Court Care Home, Bexhill. She is survived by her daughter Sally, seven grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband John and their son James. There will be a thanksgiving service on October 23rd at Ockham Church at 12pm followed by refreshments. No flowers, please. Donations, if desired, to the Alzheimer’s Society.
She was d of Col James FORBES-ROBERTSON VC DSO MC 1884-1955 sometime head of that gentry family of Chardwar and Hilda 1893-1976 d of Sir Ralph Collingwood FORSTER 1st & last Bt 1850-1930 and his 2nd w Elizabeth c1860-1906 d of John BURNIP c1832-1907 of Newcastle-upon-Tyne by is c1853 m reg Q1 Devon to Elizabeth SCOBLE c1830-74. She m 1951 Capt John Douglas MBE s of Lt-Col D P WATSON DSO of Weymouth, and had a son (James Douglas b 1955 reg Q2 Glos, died _) and a dau (Sally b 1952).
