Looking through the St Edward's School, Oxford newsletter I noted the 2016 marriage of Libby Northcote-Green and Alex Papakyriacou; she being a descendant of Sir Henry Northcote, 5th Baronet (the 8th Baronet created Earl of Iddesleigh), this notice, albeit somewhat late, I am posting just for anyone's future reference. The only reason I investigated this at all was that I noticed that her father's second name was 'Stafford', and the combination of 'Stafford' and 'Northcote' I thought strongly hinted at a relationship with the aforementioned Northcote baronetical family/ Earls of Iddesleigh.

Elizabeth Rose Northcote-Green b. 1988, m. 2016, Alexander Angelo Papakyriacou, solicitor; she dau. of Charles Stafford Northcote-Green (1950-), chartered surveyor, and (m. 1981) Susan E., dau. of - Hunt.

C. S. Northcote-Green 2nd s. of Roger James (Northcote-)Green (at this point, the 'Northcote' appears to have been one of those unofficial family names that sometimes forms part of the surname and sometimes a middle name, and sometimes not officially recorded at birth at all, but nevertheless used in either of those two capacities) 1912-1990, of Manor Cottage, Woolston, Williton, Somerset, headmaster of Worksop College, Notts., formerly a housemaster at St Edward's, Oxford, Capt. (temp. Maj.) Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire Light Infantry (WWII), M.C. by his wife Joan Edith Lilian (1922-2004), dau. of E. A. Greswell, of Wayvile, Bicknoller, nr Taunton, Somerset.

R. J. Northcote-Green 2nd s. of Edward Joseph (Northcote-)Green (1876-1968), of 25, Bainton Road, Oxford, formerly of Fenton House, Stoke-on-Trent, educ. Charterhouse, Queen's Coll., Oxon. (B.A. 1899, M.A. 1902), in holy orders (lastly rector of St Michael and All Angels, Weyhill, Hants. from 1925), m. 1904, Mary Louisa (1882-1961), dau. of George Henry Catt (1856-1931), of Elm House, Spetisbury, Dorset, brewer, J.P.

E. J. Northcote-Green [eldest/ elder?] s. of Walter James Green (1843-) of Worth, nr Dover, formerly of 194, High Street, Watford, managing brewer, Benskin's Watford Brewery (later owned by Ind Coope & Allsopp, closed 1972), m. 1876, Maria Jane (1857-), dau. of Joseph Benskin, brewer (Benskin's Watford Brewery)

Walter's father was Edward Green (1805-1876; s. of Nicholas Green, of Lydd, Kent), of Stafford Lodge, Heavitree, and 25, High Street, Exeter, silk merchant, who m. 1842, Sarah (b. 1817/21 according to census records), dau. of Stafford Northcote (1783-1854) and his wife (m. 1810) Sarah, dau. of John Beauchamp. Edward and Sarah's elder son was Stafford Northcote Green (1843-), who carried on the business; Walter was the second son. Stafford Northcote and Sarah Beauchamp's marriage is dealt with in published sources (inc. Burke's 2003), with their eldest son, Stafford Henry Northcote (1813-1889) being the focus; census records however additionally show daughter Sarah (who married Edward Green), and sons Hugh (1821-) and Gilbert (1824-).

Stafford Northcote was grandson of Sir Henry Northcote, 5th Baronet, his father being Henry Northcote (b. c. 1738) by his 2nd marriage, to Sarah, dau. of James Tuke or Tooke, of Doncaster, Yorks.
