From the Telegraph of 11 July 2026: WEMYSS Peacefully at home on Tuesday 30th June 2026. Andrew aged 100 years. Loving husband of the late Janet and father to William and Isabella. Also, a loving grandfather and friend to many. Will be sadly missed. Funeral Service at Wemyss Castle, Fife on Thursday 30th July 2026 at 3 p.m. to which all family and friends are respectfully invited. There will be a collection for Blood Cancer UK.

He was yr s of Michael John Erskine WEMYSS OF THAT ILK 1888-1982 sometime Chief of that Scots gentry family and Lady Alexandrina Violet CAVENDISH-BENTINCK CVO 1890-1994 d of 6 Duke of PORTLAND 1857-1943 and Winifred Anna 1863-1954 d of Thomas Yorke DALLAS-YORKE 1826-1924 sometime head of that gentry family of Walmsgate and Frances Perry 1843-1912 d of William GRAHAM 1786-1854 scion of that gentry family of ?Hilston Park and his 2 w Anna Matilda LOWNDES 1812-95. He m 1967 Janet Alethea 1933-2006 d of Maj John Swire SCOTT 1901-1972 of Eredine House, Dalmally, Argyll, and had a son and a dau as above.

He was page to the Duke of Portland, Bearer of the Queen's Crown, at the 1937 Coronation.  I think he was the last surviving page and probably one of the last survivors of the 1937 Coronation - as previously discussed some of the boy choristors may have survived
