Micheal is this the first child? If so I do hope that the next one is
a boy.

The mother is A.J. Langer, the actress who has appeared in the
American television show "My So-Called Life" with Clare Danes and
Jared Leto (among other programs).

I believe this is their first child. Wonderful news for the parents,
grandparents, etc. but not great news for us "peer watchers." This
title is in deep trouble, with only the brand new father in
remainder. Better luck next time!

The equally worrying thing is that, they seem to produce alot of
girls, he has three sisters, and his grandfather had about 5 aunts, I
doubt if Hollywood actress, will want to to put a peerage before, a
glittering career, the only solution might be a second marriage to
some lovely country girl, intent on having lots of kids!

I am not absolutely sure, but family history, shows that they usually
have to have between three to five daughters, before they produce a
male heir, take a lot at Burkes or Debretts. I doubt that Hollywood
actress in 21st century is likey to want so many children for the sake
of producing an heir to a peerage. I hope I am sincerely wrong!

Had to laugh. Yesterday, as I was skipping through the channels on my
television, I settled on an episode of "Seinfeld." Who was the
object of Seinfeld's affections-- the new mom! What are the odds?

marquess, you're right regarding actresses marrying into the peerage.
I'm thinking of 2 current ones that immediately come to mind-- first,
the current Lady Haden-Guest (aka Jamie Lee Curtis). The couple has 2
adopted children and so the heir is his brother. After that-- title
extinction.

The other, with the much greater success, is Linda Purl. She is
married to the Master of Falkland (heir to Viscount of Falkland).
They have only one child but at least it is a boy. (She has appeared
in numerous television programs and movies. I believe her previous
husband was the scion of Hollywood royalty-- Desi Arnaz, Jr.)
