From the Telegraph and Times of 11 July 2020: ELWES Gillian Muriel, on 5th July in Victoria, Australia, aged 82. Daughter of Major John Elwes MC, Scots Guards, and Isabel (neé Beckwith), and sister of Henry of Colesbourne, Gloucestershire, and Edward of Tewkesbury. Thanksgiving to be announced later.
She was d of Maj John Hargreaves ELWES MC (1906-ka1943), scion of the gentry family of that name of Colesbourne, and Isabel Pamely Ivy (1908-93, having m 2nd 1950 a scion of the Crosbie-Talbot Irish gentry family) d of Lt-Col William Malebisse BECKWITH DSO (1877-1954), sometime head of the gentry family of that name formerly of Trimdon, and Lady Muriel Beatrice GORDON-LENNOX (1884-1969) d of 7th Duke of RICHMOND & GORDON (1845-1928) and his 2nd wife Isabel Sophie CRAVEN (1863-87) gd of 4th Earl of HARDWICKE (1799-1873) and gt gd of 1st Earl of CRAVEN (1770-1825).
