From the Irish Times 6 Jan 2026 - CAHILL - David Alexander Cameron (Ardclough, Straffan, Co. Kildare and formerly of Ballyragget, Co. Kilkenny). Passed away peacefully on January 1st 2026, surrounded by his loving family, in the wonderful care of the staff at Tallaght Hospital. He will be sadly missed by his wife Susie, daughter Gay (Wilmot-Smith) and son Robert, son-in-law Andrew, grandchildren Patrick, Nicholas and Tom, extended family Inez, Caryl, Rachel, Sarah, Candy, Amaya and Alex, and friends. Removal on Monday afternoon (January 5th) to St. Annes Church, Ardclough arriving for a Funeral Mass at 12pm followed by a private cremation. Donations in lieu of flowers to the Irish Injured Jockeys Fund or The Irish Blue Cross in memory of David Cahill.

He was the yr son of Robert Devereux CAHILL (1901-1970), sometime head of the Irish gentry family Cahill (of Ballyconra House, Ballyragget, co Kilkenny) (BIFR1976) and (m 1938) (Linda) Joanne CAMERON.  He m 1973 Susan Katherine Bly HUTTON d of Maj William Bacon HUTTON later HUTTON BURY whose mother was Vera CHETWYND-STAPLETON (1890-1968) a descendant of the 4th Viscount Chetwynd.
