Adam Zamoyski certainly has a comital title, so I imagine it's the
same family.

A Polish Count whose father is listed as being from Hungary and whose
mother is listed as being from Italy becomes betrothed to a young lady
from Japan-- how truly international!

GHdA, Gräfliche Häuser B III (1965), S. 401 ff. gives the Zamoyski
line descended from Florian Saryusz, auf Wroników und Wozniki,
Kastellan von Leczyca, who died in 1412.

The family is indeed truly international and interesting. His
collaterals include the princes Lubomirski (Polish), princes Radziwill
(Polish/Lithuanian), princes Czartoryski, princes Potocki (Polish) and
two members of the Bourbon Two Sicilies family!

That Adam Zamoyski (b. 1949) is described on his website as married to
Emma Sergeant

http://www.adamzamoyski.com/
http://www.adamzamoyski.com/about.php
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Adam_Zamoyski

His mother was Ctss Elzbieta Zamoyska, nee Pss Elzbieta Czartoryska
(1905-1989), per wikipedia. His father was Ct Stefan Adam Zamoyski
(1904-1976). Adam was the yr of two sons, and the yst of three
children.

For the happy fiance's father, I checked his name:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Micha%C5%82_Zdzis%C5%82aw_Zamoyski
Michal Zdislaw (1679–1735) was the 6th Ordynat or head of the family.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zdzis%C5%82aw_Zamoyski
Count Zdzisław Zamoyski (1810–1855) was father of one son Stefan and
three daughters.

This son Stefan was father of Count Władysław Zdzisław Zamoyski (1873–
1944)
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/W%C5%82adys%C5%82aw_Zdzis%C5%82aw_Zamoyski
Count Władysław Zdzisław Zamoyski (1873–1944) married Maria Mężyńska,
and had issue 3 sons and 1 dau:
1. Elżbieta Zamoyska
2. Stefan Adam Zamoyski -> Adam (b. 1949) the historian
3. Andrzej Zygmunt Zamoyski
4. Zdzisław Franciszek Zamoyski

I'm not sure where the father of the fiance fits in, but he might be
the son of no. 3 or no. 4/

BTW, the head of the family was Jan Zamoyski (1912-2002), the 16th
Ordynat, a son of Count Maurycy Klemens Zamoyski (1871–1939) who was
Polish Foreign Minister in 1924
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Maurycy_Klemens_Zamoyski

The late Jan Zamoyski (d 2002) had one son Marcin (b. 1947) and four
daughters with Róża Źółtowska.
