From the Telegraph of 27 July 2022: HODSON Patrick Richard, on 21st July 2022, peacefully, aged 87. Much loved husband, father and grandfather. Private cremation with a celebration of his life to be held in the autumn.

He was s of Sir Edmond Adair HODSON 5th Bt 1893-1972 and Anne Eilzabeth Adderley 1910-84 d of Lt-Col Hartopp Francis Charles Adderley CRADOCK 1880-1944 sometime head of that gentry family of Knighton and Margaret Dorothea OLDHAM 1884-1963, and his 1st w June d of late Herbert Michael SHEPHERD-CROSS 1911-92 of The Old Rectory, Brandsby, Yorks scion of that gentry family of Hamels Park and Margaret Hope Maud SMEETON 1906-94. He succ. his bro the 6th Bt on 8 April 2022. His son succeeds him:

He m 1991 Kathleen (Kate) Mary Florence d of William Rippon BISSELL d 1983 and Hon Charmaine Elizabeth Violet Cecilia WILSON 1930-2018 d of 3rd Baron NUNBURNHOLME 1904-74 and Lady Mary Beatrice THYNNE 1903-74 d of 5th Marquess of BATH 1862-1946, and has a son and a dau.
