Robert George Russell CARTER was High Sheriff of Norfolk in 2009. His wife, Charlotte Mary Leftwich CARTER, née MILLER, was, per company records, born on 15 August 1957.

Mrs Carter is the elder daughter of Peter Francis Nigel MILLER (5 VIII 1924 - 12 VI 1997) and his wife (married 1950), Sheila G B STRATTON (born 1928). Peter Miller, a noted architect, was himself the son of Francis Gerald MILLER (7 II 1891 - 1969) and his wife (married 1917), Dorothy Emily LEFTWICH (18 III 1892 - 1971), who was the second daughter of the noted artist George Robert LEFTWICH (15 IX 1846 - 25 II 1929) and his wife, Emily Ethel DIMMICK (1858 - 1927).

Francis Gerald Miller was the elder son of Francis MILLER (c.1867 - ?) and his wife (married 10 IV 1890), Rose Margaret BOCKETT (c.1867 - ?), who was herself the second daughter of John Symonds BOCKETT (c.1833 - 29 I 1902) and his wife (married 27 XI 1862), Emily TOLLER (8 VI 1830 - 29 I 1904).

John Symonds Bockett was the son of Daniel Smith BOCKETT (27 XI 1797 - 16 III 1870) and his wife (married 16 XII 1828), Theresa Aubrina SYMONDS (1808 - 19 II 1872), who was herself the daughter of Rear Adm Sir William SYMONDS, CB (24 IX 1782 - 30 III 1856) and his first wife (married 21 IV 1808), Elizabeth Saunders LUSCOMBE (died 10 XI 1817).

Rear Adm Sir William Symonds was the second son of Capt Thomas SYMONDS (1731 - 25 V 1792) and his second wife, Elizabeth MALLET. Capt Symonds was himself the second son of the Rev John SYMONDS and his wife, Mary SPRING (1698 - 1765), daughter of Sir Thomas SPRING, 3rd Bt (c.1672 - 2 IV 1704) and his wife (married 23 V 1691, as her first husband), Hon Merolina JERMYN (c.1673 - 1727), daughter of the 2nd Baron Jermyn.
