From the Times of 18 June 2024: Jill (née Burton) on 11th June 2024, aged 96. Widow of the late Richard (Dick) Wellesley. She will be greatly missed by her nephews Andrew and Stephen, by the Wellesley family, and her godchildren. The funeral will take place on Monday 24th June at 2.30pm at the Church of St Mary The Virgin, Buckland, Faringdon, Oxon... Donations in lieu of flowers may be sent to J Godfrey and Son Ltd, Ware Road, Stanford in the Vale, Faringdon, Oxon… and will be allocated to the John Radcliffe Hospital Stroke Unit, St Mary’s Church, Buckland or The Memorial Hall, Buckland.

She m 1970 as his 2^nd w Maj Richard, MC, 1920-84 s of Wing Cdr Lord George WELLESLEY MC RAF 1889-1967 (s of 4^th Duke of WELLINGTON 1849-1934 who was gs of The [1^st] Iron Duke 1769-1852) and Louise Nesta Pamela 1889-1946 d of Sir Maurice FITZGERALD 2^nd Bt 1844-1916 (20^th Knight of Kerry) and Amelia Catherine Lily 1858-1947 yr d of the financier (ODNB) Henri Louis BISCHOFFSHIEM 1829-1908 of Mayfair, London and Clarisse Eva Odette 1837-1922 d of Josep David Löb BIEDERMANN 1809-67 of Vienna and Henriette PFEIFFER 1814-58 (their elder dau Ellen BISCHOFFSHEIM 1857-1933 was the 2^nd w of the 4^th & penultimate Earl of Desart).
