From the Times of 26 April 2022: POWELL-SHEDDEN Miranda MBE, DL, died peacefully on 20th April 2022, aged 78. Much-loved widow of Henry, mother of Serena, Melanie, Piers and Felicity and grandmother of ten. Funeral at Hardmead Church.
She was d of Graham Russell MITCHELL CB OBE 1905-84 of Barncote, Chobham, Surrey (MI5 intelligence officer - ODNB, s of Alfred Sherrington MITCHELL 1877-1940 by his 1904 m to Sibyl Gemma HEATHCOTE 1882-1967 (d of Charles Graham HEATHCOTE 1836-1922 s of Anne CURRIE 1809-64 (d of Mark CURRIE 1759-1835 (f of Sir Frederick CURRIE 1st Bt 1799-1875))) and Eleanora Patricia ROBERTSON 1908-93. She m 18 June 1966 (Times 20 June) reg Q2 Surrey Henry Roscoe George 1943-? s of A/Gp-Capt George Shedden ffolliott POWELL-SHEDDEN DSO DFC RAF 1916-94 scion of the gentry families POWELL of Rowberry and SHEDDEN of Hardmead, and Diana Eve 1916-89 d of Lt-Col Henry Joseph HIGGS OBE 1886-1936 sometime head of that gentry family of Winthorpe Grange, and had a son and three daus as above.
