From the Telegraph: LOWTHER Charles. Died peacefully at home on 2nd October, aged 72 years. Adored husband of Rose, father of Patrick and Alice and grandfather to Hugo and George, Nancy and Fred. A Service of Thanksgiving will be held at St Mary’s Church, Overton-on-Dee at 12 noon, Tuesday 16th October. 

He was s of Lt.-Col. Sir William Guy Lowther, 5th Bt. and Grania Emerald Suzanne Campbell. He married, firstly, 1969 (div. 1975) Melanie Pensée FitzHerbert Musgrave. He married, secondly,1975  Florence Rose Cramsie, and had a son and a daughter.

[Sir] Patrick William Lowther, [7th Bt.] (b 1977) Has yet to establish his claim and appear on The Official Roll of the Baronetage. He married and has two sons.

It should be noted that the announcement used no titles, but the names of the deceased, his wife, children and grandchildren, as well as his age, match perfectly. so there should be no doubt that it refers to the Baronet.

Sir Patrick William Lowther is now entered on the Official Roll of the Baronetage as the 7th Baronet Lowther of Swillington (1824)
