GORE
St John (Bobby) died peacefully at home on 23rd April. Very greatly
loved. Private Funeral. Service of Thanksgiving to be announced

I take this to be the son of Francis William Baldock GORE (1873-1937),
scion of the Gore Bts (cr I 1621), and Mary Isabel Kirsteen (d 1986)
dau of Francis CORBET-SINGLETON. He m 1st (div 1975) Priscilla
Margaret dau Cecil Harmsworth KING, scion of that Irish gentry family
and of the Viscounts Rothermere; he 2nd 1981 Lady Mary Sophia Strachey
nee PALMER (1920-2000) dau of 3rd Earl of SELBORNE, and widow of Maj
Hon (Thomas) Anthony Edward Towneley Strachey (son of 3rd Baron
O'Hahan). He had a son and dau by his 1st marriage. The son, William
Ralph St John GORE b 1956 (married with a son and a dau) replaces his
father as 2nd in line to the baronetcy, after the heir apparent:
Timothy Milton Corbert GORE b 1969, m 2009 Aya dau of Kazumori TOKITO
of Miyazaki, Japan, but as yet without issue.
