From the Telegraph of 7 July 2026: WEATHERILL The Lady, Lyn (née Eatwell), died peacefully on 2nd July 2026, aged 97; much loved wife of the late Bernard (Jack), Speaker of the House of Commons 1983-92, beloved mother to Bernard, Bruce and Virginia, adored by her seven grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren; proud member of the All England Club.

She was d of Henry Thomas EATWELL 1900-1958 of Sandwich Bay, Kent by his 5 July 1924 m (St Botolph, Bishopsgate) to Edith Gertrude JONES 1898-1962. She m 1949 the LP Baron WEATHERILL 1920-2007, and had two sons and a dau as above.
