11th Baron Monson (1932-2011)

_.The 11th Baron Monson died in London following a fall, 12 February,
2011. He was 78. The peer was b 3 May, 1932, son of the 10th Baron
(1907-58), by his wife the former Bettie Northrup Powell. Succeeded to
the peerage (Baron GB 1728) on his father's demise, 7 Apr 1958. He was
elected to the House of Lords in 1999. He married 2 Apr 1955 Emma,
only dau. of Anthony Devas, of Carlyle Street, London, by whom he had
issue. The peerage now devolves upon his Lordship's eldest son, the
Hon Nicholas John Monson, (b. 19 Oct 1955), mar. (1) 1981 (div. 1996)
Hilary Martin, only dau. of Kenneth Martin, of Mombasa. Kenya, married
(2) 25 May 2002 Maria Victoria Nicklin Skelly (former wife of .....
Skelly), dau. of ..... Perez.

This peerage is sitting in a rather precarious position the new baron
has the one son and two brothers one of whom is married with two daus
and the other born in the early 60's is unmarried, all those in
collaterals seems to have had girls, unless of course the newer
edition of Debretts has more info.
