From the Times of 15 Feb 2020: OVILVIE THOMPSON TESSA MARY (nee BRAND) on 14th February 2020, passed away peacefully from complications developed subsequent to a successful double heart bypass operation in early January. Deeply mourned by husband of over 63 years, Julian, their four children - Christopher, Rachel, Anthony, Katherine and spouses, 12 grandchildren, one great grandson and much loved sister-in-law, Virginia. Funeral private, family, only.

She was d of 4th Viscount HAMPDEN (1900-65) and scion of the DACRE barons, and Leila Emily (1900-96) d of Lt-Col Frank Evelyn SEELY (1864-1928), scion of the Bts of that name, and Leila Eliza RUSSELL (1876-1903), gt gd of 6th Duke of BEDFORD (1766-1839) and gd of 8th Baron MIDDLETON (1817-77) etc etc. She m 1956 Julian (b 1934 reg Q1 Cape Town) s of Newton OGILVIE THOMPSON (1904-92), sometime Chief Justice of South Africa, and (Anne Agnes) Eve WIENER (1905-2000), and had four children as above.
