From the Telegraph of 3 July 2026: SPENCE Donald on 17th June 2026 aged 90. Devoted husband to the late Bridget, loving father to Arabella and Rob and grandfather to Lily, Hector, Felix and Kit. A Memorial Service will be held on 13th August at 2.30 p.m. at Chelsea Old Church, London SW3.

He was s of Brig Ian Fleming Morris SPENCE OBE TD c1906-1966 by his 1931 m reg Q4 London to Ruth May Bakewell PEACOCK c1907-c1961. He m 1965 Bridget Mary 1941-2023 d of Maj-Gen Michael Whitworth PRYNNE CB CBE 1912-77 and Jean Violet 1909-77 (k in a car crash with her h) d of Capt Geoffrey STEWART 1878-ka1914 (gt gs of 7 Earl of GALLOWAY 1736-1806) and Violet Cunningham 1886-1968 d of William Clarence WATSON 1840-1906 and Mary Louisa HULTON 1847-, and had a son and a dau:
