From the Telegraph of 8 Nov 2021: CLARK-MAXWELL William. Died peacefully on the morning of 4th November, Much loved family member who will be deeply missed by all. Funeral at St John's, Dumfries and afterwards at Speddoch Hall. Family flowers only. Donations if desired to Marie Currie nurses.

He was s of John Noel CLARK-MAXWELL 1903-87 whom he succeeded as head of that Scots gentry family of Speddoch and Anne Joan FEARNLEY-WHITTINGSTALL 1906-85 scion of that gentry family f/o Watford and Hawkswick. He m Juliet Nina b 1942 d of Capt (Charles) Michael STRATTON 1906-91 scion of that gentry family of Turweston (and 3xgt gs of Sir Thomas STYLE 4th Bt c1685-1769) and his 2nd w (her 2nd h, she was prev. Mrs John Roberts) Nancy Myra 1911-2009 d of Lt George BROOKE 1877-as1914 (1st s of Sir George Frederick BROOKE 1st Bt 1849-1926 and gt gs of Charles Watkin John SHAKERLEY 1767-1834 f of Sir Charles Peter SHAKERLEY 1st Bt 1792-1857), and had a son (James Michael Gilchrist CLARK-MAXWELL b 1975 who succeeds his father as head of the family. He m 2002 reg Q1 Wilts (Times eng. 5 Nov 2001) Sarah Ann M b 1971 reg Q2 Bucks d of (Daniel Henry) Keith RUGG 1929-86 of Kittens Farm, Hants by his 1968 m reg Q4 London to Angela SMYTH and had a dau), and a dau (Alice Louise b 1979).
