Her grandson-in-law Crofton is Edward Harry Piers Crofton, 8th Baron Crofton of Mote.

Her mother was Johanna Sebastiane von Johnston (1907-1935). Though this Johnston family had long been resident on the continent, and was ennobled there in 1733, a Stammtafel in the 1888 Brünner Taschenbuch says that the family shared an agnatic ancestor, who died 1524, with the Johnston Earls of Hartfell.
