From the Telegraph of 4 March 2025: FULFORD-DOBSON Captain Michael Fulford-Dobson CVO, OBE, KStJ, DL, JP, RN. On 15th February 2025, unexpectedly but peacefully, in Honfleur, France aged 93. Beloved husband to Barbara, father to Jemima, Jessica and Rachel, and grandfather to Oswald, Letitia, Hugo, Edward, Fiennes and Eliza. Private family funeral. Memorial on 3rd June in Sherborne Abbey, 2.30 p.m.

He was s of Lt-Col Cyril FULFORD-DOBSON OBE 1900-72 and Betty Bertha BENDELACK-HUDSON-BARMBY 1906-82. He m 1966 Elizabeth Barbara Mary Rose TATE b c1937 reg Q1 Bromley d of Oswald James TATE 1906-80 by his 1932 m reg Q3 Bromley to Nancy Agnes Mary MORLAND 1903-85, and had three daus:

1. Jemima Nancy Grace b 1968: m 1997 Viscount FitzHarris b 1970 s&ha of 7^th Earl of MALMESBURY b 1946, and has two sons and a dau

2. Jessica Barbara Eliza b 1969

3. Rachel Eleanor Jane b 1971: m 19 Dec 1998 (Times 21 Dec) James Robert b c1972 reg Q1 London s of Simon BURGESS of London SW1 and _ KING, had issue

The King was represented by Admiral of the Fleet Sir Benjamin Bathurst at the Memorial Service for Captain Michael Fulford-Dobson (formerly Her late Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Dorset) which was held in Sherborne Abbey, Dorset, this afternoon.

The Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh were represented by Brigadier John Smedley.

The Princess Royal was represented by Captain Sir Nicholas Wright RN.

The Duke and Duchess of Gloucester were represented by the Hon Charlotte Townshend.

The Duke of Kent was represented by Brigadier Benjamin Edwards
