From the Telegraph of 2 April 2021: FERGUSSON Sir Charles of Kilkerran, Baronet. Died peacefully at home aged 89 on 30th March. Funeral private.
He was son of Sir James FERGUSSON 8th Bt 1904-73 and Louise Frances Balfour Stratford 1903-88 d of Edgar Trevelyan Stratford DUGDALE 1876-1964 (bro of Sir William Francis Stratford DUGDALE 1st Bt 1872-1964) descendant of the noted antiquary and genealogist Sir William DUGDALE 1605-86 sometime Garter King of Arms, and Blanche Elizabeth Campbell BALFOUR 1880-1948 niece of the former Prime Minister and 1st Earl of BALFOUR 1848-1930. He m 1961 Hon Amanda Mary NOEL-PATON b 1933 d of the LP Baron FERRIER 1900-992 and Joane Mary 1907-84 d of Sir Gilber WILES KCIE CSI 1880-1961 and Winifred Mary PRYOR 1881-1978, and had two sons and a dau. His elder son succeeds him:
