MR M. YORKE-LONG AND MISS A. MADDRELL

The engagement is announced between Marcus, only son of Mr and Mrs Jonathan Yorke-Long, of Northamptonshire and Aalish, younger daughter of Mr and Mrs David Maddrell, of Isle of Man.

 

Marcus John Alexander (b 1983) is the son of Jonathan C YORKE-LONG (b 1951, reg December, Norfolk) and Charlotte Rose (b 1954) d of John Henry Fownes LUTTRELL (1919-91) and (Eleanor Sarah) Joy (1927-96), scion of the WILLIAMS of Bridehead Bts.

 

(Catherine) Aalish (b 1983, reg December, Lancashire) is the dau of David (?Joseph) MADDRELL (? b 1950 reg March, Lancashire) and Marie J ECKERSLEY (b 1955, reg June, Lancashire)

I assume that Henry Fownes Luttrell was a member of the Luttrell of Dunster Castle L.G. family. 

His namesake Henry Fownes Luttrell 1722-1780 was 1st s. of John Fownes of Nethway, Devon by his 2nd w. Anne, da. of Samuel Maddock of Tamerton Foliott.m.(1) 16 Feb. 1747 his 2nd cos. Margaret (d. 13 Aug. 1766), da. and h. of Alexander Luttrell, M.P.
