From the Telegraph of 24 March 2025: INNES-SMITH Robert died peacefully on 20th January aged 96. Much loved husband of Elizabeth Greta Innes-Smith (dec'd) and father to Victoria, Augusta and James. Private cremation service.

He was s of Capt Stuart William INNES-SMITH MM RAF 1897-1953 (who he succ. as) head of that Scots gentry family and Florence Constance 1899-1977 d of John Lot GREEN d 1898 scion of that gentry family f/o Ringstead and Margaret HUNKIN d 1904. He m 1954 Elizabeth (Betsy) Greta 1927-2009 d of Bertram John LAMB 1887-1938 of Chestfield Manor, Whitstable, Kent and as her 1^st h Greta REEVES 1905-84 (Mrs George Woodman), and had a son and two daus:

Charles Dalton TURRALL (20 I 1862 - 29 III 1925) and his second wife, Ethel Maude BLYTHE (29 III 1877 - 25 XI 1926) had three children: Hugh Dalton TURRALL (7 I 1909 - 10 II 1973, Doris Maud ("Toni") TURRALL (2 III 1901 - 25 II 1980) and Frances Dalton ("Frankie" or "Tibby") TURRALL (15 IX 1905 - 6 VII 1979).

 

Hugh Turrall was the husband (married 4 III 1934) of Helen LUXMOORE (3 X 1913 - 26 II 1997), who was the sister of Maj Charles Luxmoore, the husband (married 25 X 1927) of his own sister, Frances Turrall. Doris Turrall was the wife (married 1925, as her first husband) of Lionel Geoffrey TREVENIX-TRENCH (14 X 1901 - 22 IX 1930), whose great-grandfather was a younger brother of the 1st Baron Ashtown.

 

Hugh Turrall and his wife had two children: Richard Dalton TURRALL (7 IX 1937 - 17 V 1999) and Diane Helen TURRALL (born 1935). Richard was the husband (married 1968) of Angelina Catherine NEEP (1943 - 8 I 2022; Colin P posted the news of her death at https://groups.google.com/g/peerage-news/c/87dJIz4Pn2Q/m/Qi3ukI4WAwAJ), and Diane is the wife (married c.1958) of Henry C W G JOYNSON.
