He was s of Charles Francis WOLLEY-DOD (1892-1937), scion of the gentry family of that name of Edge, by his 1925 m (reg Q4 London) to Janet Evelyn (1894-1963) d of Walter GRIPPER (1853-1935) by his 1887 m (reg Q3 Surrey) to Evelyn Hayes DOWSON (1858-1944). He m c1976 (reg Q1 London) [Jane] ROLAN and had three daus as above.

Okay, I've now got BLG1972 to hand and I see that the late Mr Wolley Dod m 1st 1960 Ann Elizabeth d of Charles Robert JULIAN of Rio Tinto, Spain and had two daus (Lucy b 1965 & Susannah b 1966). Which leads one to conclude that the two other daus (Charlotte b 19 Jan 1972, the Times 22 Jan, and Sarah b 1978 reg Q2 London) are by his 2nd w. Bringing his total number of daus to four (not three as I erroneously stated in my previous post).

Also his 2nd wife's family name was PILCHER, not ROLAN. And her 1st dau's birth was at the beginning of 1972, which means Wolley Dod's 2nd m was BEFORE that date, and not 1976 as above.

The Addendum to BLG 1972 states that Mr and Mrs HC Kirk Wolley Dod (ie his 1st w) had a 3rd dau Charlotte b 19 Jan 1972
